Polysomnography

Polysomnography (PSG) is a kind of sleep study. It is a special multi-parametric process of test that is used in the study of sleep and is also be used as a diagnostic tool in sleep medicine. We at Premier Sleep Diagnostic Center do a comprehensive recording of biophysiological changes that occur during sleep. By doing Polysomnography, we not only monitor the sleep dysfunctions; but also many other body functions including: EEG, EOG, EMG, and ECG during sleep.
Treatment with CPAP

A pause in breath sometimes gets more harmful that can lead to severe damage. We treat sleep apnea through CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) which is an advanced technology machine that helps in a constant flow of airway pressure to your throat to ensure that your airway stays open during sleep. If sleep apnea can be treated well, it will impact a positive effect on your life by increasing your energy and alertness. Stay happy and healthy always with sleep therapy.
Titration Study

CPAP can be determined by a special study called Titration. Although, both CPAP and Titration works together; but Titration is a more advance method of examining the sleep disorders and/or sleep apnea. The titration study itself is done in our lab and is for the purposes of calibrating a CPAP machine to ensure your therapy is successful. We at Premier Sleep Diagnostic Center try to perform the CPAP Titration on the same night as the diagnostic study which is not always the case because in some cases where the results are not clear, you need to have a second Titration study.
Split Polysomnography

It is obvious that like any other physical health disorders, sleep apnea can also vary. The type of sleep apnea can be ranged from moderate to severe. We at Premier Sleep Diagnostic Center first examine the severity of your sleep disorder by doing an overnight sleep test, but will be observing key data from your study in real time to determine whether you might meet prearranged criteria for treatment. After we identify certain sleep-breathing episodes and markers after a specific time has passed during your study, these studies are then ordered to initiate a trial of therapy using CPAP. This whole procedure is called a Split Polysomnography.
MSLT

Latency in falling asleep plays a vital role in disturbance of health. We at Premier Sleep Diagnostic Center use Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) to distinguish between physical tiredness and true excessive daytime sleepiness, or to assess whether treatments for breathing disorders are working. The main purpose of this test is to discover as what time it takes for a person to fall asleep in a certain setting or the way a person fall asleep in term of other brain patterns. The MSLT can also be used to identify and differentiate between various sleep disorders.
MWT

We at Premier Sleep Diagnostic Center do a Maintenance Of Wakefullness Test (MWT) in order to measures your ability to stay awake under certain conditions for a defined period of time. It is more important to know how fast you fall asleep than your ability to stay awake. The Maintenance Of Wakefullness Test (MWT) is usually performed during the day following a typical night sleep.
HST

It was a common practice to study the sleep disorders only in a hospital and/or at clinic. However, couple of years back advance technologies were being introduced that helps study the sleep disorder at patient’s home. We use different types of modern devices to be set at the patient’s home in order for us to study their sleep disorders. Also, we set a recording device once the test is started to collect a variety of data that can be used to treat the sleep apnea.
